A rare opportunity to see the beautiful private gardens that surround Eton College.

Our host for the event will be Head Gardener, Michael Long, who will guide us through the gardens, followed by afternoon tea in the Vice Provost’s garden.

These beautiful gardens consist of a series of interlinked spaces around the College’s ancient buildings and are rarely opened to the public.

There are five gardens to visit including:

  • Luxmoore’s Garden on an island in the Thames a peaceful garden accessed by a beautiful bridge;
  • The Head Master’s Garden which provides cut flowers for the garden and chapel, and is used regularly by the school for entertaining;
  • The Provost’s Garden;
  • The Fellows’ Garden;
  • and The King of Siam’s Garden.

The last three have recently been reworked by James Alexander-Sinclair (RHS member, Chelsea Judge and an Old Etonian). The gardens vary in style and are all hidden gems not to be missed.
